I recently watched the movie V For Vendetta. As I watched the movie I saw several parallels with our own government. The theme of the movie is that government no longer takes direction from the people. But, rather, directs the people. It does this by playing on the people’s fears. Even the massacring of 100,000 people in order to make the citizens fear that terrorism could take over the country. The Prime Minister is a dictator in every sense of the word. I welcome your comments.Â

The United States State Department is telling communist Cuba to provide freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of Religion. However, it does not tell communist China this. The people of China are as oppressed as Cuba and North Korea. Yet the United States government keeps still. When was the last time you heard China referred to as “communist China”?

President Bush has said that it is good that the US dollar is falling. He said that will reduce the cost of our goods overseas. Thus, making our goods more attractive to overseas buyers.

My question is: what goods? What do we actually manufacture in the US. The answer is, that we now manufacture almost nothing that anyone overseas wants to buy. I think Bush’s economics are flawed. What do you think?
